Basketball

Basketball is a very popular sport among the youth in today’s world.  Basketball typically takes place during the winter months, approximately November - February.  Our main goal is to introduce the basic fundamentals of basketball such as dribbling, passing, shooting, and defense.  We will practice twice a week and have one game every Saturday to display our hard work.


Throughout our practices and games, we will emphasize the importance of teamwork and leadership.  Basketball is a great way to work on these skills hands-on.  We hope that by the end of the season, each player will have a greater understanding of what these skills mean and the importance of them not only in sports, but also in life.


Basketball is a fun way for kids to stay active and healthy.  Basketball can build endurance, improve balance and coordination, build up muscle, and develop concentration and self-discipline.
